Executive Coaching - Who Is Executive Coaching For?

Who Is Executive Coaching For?

Coaching contributes to improved individual performance and eventually overall organisational performance.

Who is it for?

  • CEOs, managing directors, members of the senior team
  • Leaders and managers at all levels of the organisation
  • Professionals who contribute to the organisation’s success
  • Teams
  • Business owners

When is Executive Coaching Needed?

Improve Personal Performance
The client’s assessment of their performance is usually supplemented with additional evidence such as a 360 degree feedback survey and/or other questionnaires.

  • Fast track good leaders to become more effective leaders
  • Develop people in their present role or prepare for future roles
  • Assist people to apply their learning from off the job leadership programs into action and results

Improve Skills
Skills coaching involves working with people to develop skills required to carry out specified tasks.

  • Assist leaders to conduct more effective performance planning and review sessions
  • Improve ability to deal with underperforming staff
  • Improve productivity, time management and personal organisation skills

Address Issues and Challenges
A person is of value to their organisation but needs development in a particular area.

  • Improve interpersonal relationships with team and other colleagues
  • Improve work/life balance
  • Increase confidence
  • Close the gap between current job requirements and a person’s performance

Strategic Coaching
Strategic coaching helps a person to develop a strategy to deal with a specific issue and/or develop better long or short-term strategies to manage the environment in which they operate.

  • Fast track induction of new hires or appointments to more senior positions

Team Coaching
We work with the whole team to identify their goals and develop a strategy to achieve the goals.

Business Owners (SMEs)
One person businesses grow to be small businesses; small businesses become medium sized businesses. As the business grows, the owner needs different skills to manage the business.

  • Improve people management skills
  • Move from an operational (day-to-day) focus to a more strategic (longer term) focus
  • Spend more time working ON the business and less time working IN the business

Case Study

Client: Marketing Director, Australian/New Zealand branch of large global company.

Background: The client had a record of poor interpersonal relationships in the organisation. Her inability to develop good relationships was limiting her career in the company.

Process: Engagement survey results and a 360 degree feedback survey were used to support the need for a change in her behaviour. In addition to these surveys, she completed a thought-provoking questionnaire. From this data, we agreed the goals of the 12 session coaching program. At each session, the client identified goals for the session and at the end of each session, she agreed to carry out specific actions before the next coaching session.

Outcomes: The annual engagement survey was proof of how much she had changed. She had measurable proof of improved relationships with her direct reports. She received verbal feedback from her boss and peers about how much easier she was to work with.
